Happy Monday MTG peeps,
We hope all had a great weekend. We could not get out to Friday Night Magic at OMG! Games here in Barrie as we were still cleaning up after the ice storm but did have a few games at the kitchen table in front of the fire - very nice 'n' relaxing indeed. Anywhoos, Dragon's Maze previews and spoilers continue on to week two and we already are chomping the bit to finalize out pre-orders at MTG Mint Card ahead of the official release on 3 May, 2013. Make sure you check out our Dragon's Maze Spoiler List as we continue to provide daily updates.
Here's today's DGM previews and don't forget to check back in case we get another late day addition.

Savageborn Hydra, xrg
Creature - Hydra, Mythic Rare
Double Strike
Savageborn Hydra enters the battlefield with X +1/+1 counters on it.
1 {r/g}: Put a +1/+1 counter on Savageborn Hydra. Activate this ability only any time you could play a sorcery.
This one is the Daily MTG Twitter preview. Take your Gruul build, and splash black so you can drop Exava, Rakdos Blood Witch and have this Hydra drop and come out swinging with haste. Personally, we think this is an OK mana sink but would rather bank on a nice 'X'-costed burn spell. As well, if we really did have a soft spot for Hydras, why not pick Primordial while it's still in standard.

Legion's Initiative, rw
Enchantment, Mythic Rare
Red creatures you control get +1/+0.
White creatures you control get +0/+1.
rw, Exile Legion's Initiative: Exile all creatures you control. At the beginning of the next combat, return those cards to the battlefield under their owner's control and those creatures gains haste until end of turn.
This preview from TCGPlayer.com and dang, it's a nice Boros anthem which can also save your swarm from mass removal. Might not be as brilliant in limited but we're certain standard constructed players will consider this for a red / white weenie or token build or perhaps a sideboard against control.

Tajic, Blade of the Legion, 2rw
Legendary Creature - Human Soldier Rare
Tajic, Blade of the Legion is indestructible.
Battalion — Whenever Tajic atttacks with at least two other creatures attack, Tajic gets +5/+5 until end of turn.
2/2
This, a Puremtgo.com preview. A 2/2 indestructible for four ain't that bad and with a massive pump of +5/+5 on the Boros Battalion mechanic, this sounds solid. We can't quite make sense of the flavor text - perhaps it's a Zen thing. As for the card itself, we can't see that this will make players too excited as a single chump blocker can stop Tajic. We suggest splashing green for trample à la Rancor.

Possibility Storm, 3rr
Enchantment, Rare
Whenever a player casts a spell from his or her hand, that player exiles it, then exiles cards from the top of his or her library until he or she exiles a card that shares a card type with it. That player may cast that card without paying its mana cost. Then he or she puts all cards exiled with Possibility Storm on the bottom of his or her library in a random order.
Cranial Insertion provides this preview. For a detail rules analysis, drop on over to Cranial Insertion. If you're an EDH / Commander fan who plans to build with this, expect to get hated out and called a troll. Weird / bad red enchantment.
~Progenitor Mimic, 4ug
Creature - Shapeshifter, Mythic Rare
You may have Progenitor Mimic enter the battlefield as a copy of any creature on the battlefield except it gains “At the beginning of your upkeep, if this creature isn’t a token, put a token onto the battlefield that’s a copy of this creature.”
0/0
We think there may be quite a few (non-EDH) players who will dismiss this because of the high spell cost for what essentially is a Clone effect. It still does match your opponent's greatest threat and we're sure you will appreciate playing this should your opponent have a Angel of Serenity on the table. We need to re-evaluate this after the release.
~Give / Take, 2g / 2u
Sorcery, Uncommon
Put three +1/+1 counters on target creature.
- Fuse (You may cast one or both halves of this card from your hand.) -
Remove all +1/+1 counters from target creature you control. Draw that many cards.
We are really loving this Simic split card and will likely find a place for it in our decks and already have a plans for this to marry Lorescale Coatl in our EDH deck. Buff counters and / or card draw is usually never a bad thing.

The Cluestones
Ten common artifacts each costing three colourless does help gamers fix mana and the flavour is decent for this set. Those playing the tall stacks will likely be fans but we don't think that limited / constructed players will consider any of these for inclusion.
